With hope, understanding and dignity, Care Point delivers social services to marginalized and underprivileged populations acutely affected by HIV/AIDS, viral Hepatitis and STD’s, substance abuse, incarceration, homelessness and youth at risk.
HIV Testing and prevention: Confidential and anonymous free HIV rapid tests and HIV risk reduction counseling, safer sex supplies, offered on site and through outreach.
Hepatitis C testing and prevention: Confidential and anonymous free HIV rapid tests and HIV risk reduction counseling, safer sex supplies, offered on site and through outreach.
Harm Reduction: Outreach to intravenous drug users, which includes syringe exchange and risk reduction counseling, Naloxone overdose prevention training, safer sex supplies and referrals for social services of all kinds, including drug treatment offered on site and through outreach.
Connections: Guidance, referrals and advocacy for obtaining social services of all kinds, particularly with regard to HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, substance abuse, re-entry after incarceration and homelessness, offered on site and through outreach.
Access to Recovery: Substance abuse counseling and transportation assistance (CTA passes) for formerly incarcerated men and women on probation or parole.
Employment Center: Computers, telephone access (including voicemail) and employment search skills training for the homeless, formerly incarcerated, residents of halfway and recovery homes, and other clients.
